Remanufacture, Rebuild and
Retrofit
The all new Remanufacture, Rebuild, and
Retrofit
at Bryant Grinder under new ownership
Vermont Machine Tool Corp., parent company of
Bryant Grinder, has a twenty year history of remanufacture
and retrofitting existing machine tools. Our reputation for
quality has allowed us to enjoy repeat business from automotive,
heavy equipment, aerospace, bearing, small engine and other
customers throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. We build "new
machines from old castings." In the process the existing
machine tool undergoes a metamorphosis, bringing it from the
past into the future relative to reliability, process capability
and technology.
We bring this experience to the remanufacture and retrofit
of existing Bryant machines. Our in-house software engineering
staff has years of experience with the grinding process, and
with the versatility and adaptability of retrofitted PLC and
CNC control technology.
The acquisition of Bryant Grinder in July of 2002 gives VMT
access to all technical documentation, spare parts and the
expertise of the original Bryant personnel. We know the product,
we know how to make it technically modern and we know how
to make them more productive, versatile and reliable in your
plant. Our services include repair of your existing Bryant
machine in its original state or complete a remanufacture
and control retrofit to make it virtually new.
We are currently developing standard control retrofit packages
for selected Bryant models for "field retrofit"
in your facility, minimizing down time. When new Bryant machines
are not in your near future, consider a "change of state"
on your existing Bryant machines to give them new life and
ensure reliable service well into the future. Contact your
Bryant sales engineer for additional information on remanufacture
and retrofit.

VMT / Bryant Grinder

VMT / Bryant offers the most comprehensive remanufactured,
rebuild and retrofit capability available for existing Bryant
machines. No one but the OEM knows the original content of
a special machine and the ongoing modifications that are part
of a typical product life cycle.
VMT maintains the original engineering records on every machine
we have ever shipped.
Sometimes your budget will not allow the purchase of new
equipment but your production requirements demand more capacity,
improved accuracy, or new capabilities. We will reverse the
effects of time by restoring the speed, precision and reliability
your machine tool provided when it was new.
With a completely remanufactured machine, we can improve
on those original capabilities by adding new mechanical and
electrical / electronic technologies. The addition of new
tooling concepts can also be made to accommodate your latest
manufacturing needs.
Upon the completion of a total remanufacture, the machine
will carry a two year warranty and on a rebuild the machine
tool will have a one-year warranty, which in either case includes
reliable factory support and installation for only a fraction
of the cost of a new machine. If a remanufacture or rebuild
is right for your application and you do not already own the
right machine tool, we can assist you by locating one.
